The Urban Odyssey is our take on the Duke of Ed Award Gold Adventurous Journey.
Combining the best bits of the Urban Challenge with a traditional hiking expedition. You and your team will navigate through diverse terrains, from bush to beach to urban landscapes, spanning from Northern Sydney to the CBD.
This expedition is all about fostering social connections and achieving shared goals. You'll have the chance to meet new people, build lasting friendships, develop your outdoor skills and immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery of Sydney.
Our 6-day combo program satisfies both the Practice and Qualifying components of the Gold Adventurous Journey. So pack your bags, lace up those hiking boots and join us for an unforgettable expedition!
Group Roles
As a team you will assign each member a specific job role and with it a slice of responsibility within the group. Each evening at camp the team will gather for a group discussion where you'll select new job roles, plan your route for the next day and reflect on the journey so far.
Outdoor Skills
An experienced guide will accompany you on the expedition, coaching and supporting your team while imparting their invaluable campcraft and navigational skills. Each participant will take a turn leading the group - a chance to hone your team management and decision-making abilities.
Fun Challenges
Like all of our programs, the Urban Odyssey has an element of fun. As you travel your team will tackle challenges from the mysterious Game Master. From solving riddles to guessing movie titles and snapping silly photos, these are just a few ways we keep things light-hearted while we walk.
